Annike Limborço began her artistic journey as a self-taught mixed-media artist in 2018.
Born in Minas Gerais, she currently lives in Poços de Caldas, a region in Brazil shaped by the volcanic mountain range of Serra de São Domingos. Her artistic approach is deeply rooted in this landscape of minerals, textures, and natural movement.
Her work unfolds between representation and abstraction through an experimental process of construction, deconstruction, and painting. She is particularly drawn to the essence of matter — the pure forms and colors of the mineral world — and seeks to expand the boundaries of painting by transforming it into object. By layering materials, textures, and reliefs, she creates tactile and three-dimensional compositions.
Her visual language engages in a dialogue between the formal restraint of minimalism and the subjective intensity of abstract expressionism.
In addition to her artistic practice, Annike designs collections and unique pieces for both Brazilian and international design companies.
She is represented in Brazil by Artimage, Galeria ExpoArte, and Galeria Meia Sete; in the United States by Saatchi Art; and in Singapore by The Artling. Her work has been exhibited in Brazil, France (Paris), and the United States.
