i am a visual artist and researcher (born in Skopje in 1993) who wants to know how contemporary visual culture forms and shapes the self-image. My work is often collaborative, audiovisual, available online and easy to follow. It is also repetitive and melodic, where sound and voice question the repositioning of figure/discourse aspects in diverse audiovisual contexts. I dream of grasping and refiguring social and political transitions, by exploding filmic elements in space. Ideally, I use narration as a fragmenting and reframing tool. I know that time-based can offer a dynamic playground for self-staging as a political subject. My projects are sometimes reflective practices that contrast the digital allure of realism, resemblance, immateriality, totality, and converge with the pleasures and complexities of computational, algorithmic, and ludic digital culture.
I obtained a BFA (2015) in Painting and Scenography at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, and a Master degree in Film Studies (2019) at Ecole Normale Superieure de Lyon. Under the mentorship of the artist and researcher Gregory Chatonsky and Professor Yves Citton, I earned a degree from Ecole Universitaire de Recherche ArTeC in their Artistic Research Program (2020). I am currently working on my artistic-research PhD project in Film Studies in Paris.
