Vasilisa Moruga is a fine art photographer based in Redmond, Washington. Working through staged self-portraiture and botanical still life, she constructs psychologically charged visual narratives rooted in cultural symbolism, memory, and the expressive power of color and light. Each image is built entirely by hand - from costume and props to set design - transforming everyday objects into theatrical and emotionally resonant scenes. Influenced by painterly tradition, folklore, and surrealist storytelling, her work explores identity, femininity, and the tension between appearance and concealment. Moruga began her photographic practice in 2023 and has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in atmosphere, ritual, and personal mythology. Selected archival fine art prints are available through Fine Art America.
