She is a
self-taught artist who has been following a painting program since 2020. It is his first participation in group
exhibitions. From 1971-1974 he lived in Mozambique and brings back memories of
the multiculture, the heat, the sea and the vibrant colors of Africa. It also
keeps memories of the war and of the “returnees” who fled Africa after 1974.
In Porto, in 1994, he completed
his degree in Social Work.
Although painting was not an
academic choice, her life path and her training in Social Sciences were
important and exacerbated her aesthetic taste, inspiring her in the art of
emotions and collective memories, in which the figures are presented in a
social context. With “Women” as the central figures in his painting, he seeks
to convey positive emotions necessary for human resilience, such as hope,
affection, humor, happiness, acceptance, courage and the instinct for survival.
