I work in a variety of media and styles that all serve the underlying concept. Using the ever-growing archive of my diaries as a starting point, I go back and forth in time and investigate concepts such as authenticity and self-expression.
The vulnerability that comes along with journaling is something that I deeply value. Through my work, I reflect on the subjective interpretation of memory, striving for a complete understanding of myself. By constantly keeping in touch with the past, I aim for unfiltered honesty and radical acceptance on my path of self knowledge. Acting as a mediator, I bring all the conflicting aspects of my identity together and hope to show self acceptance, vulnerability and integrity.
Behind the seemingly randomness of my work lies a methodical approach in which years of writing are analyzed, deconstructed, and reinterpreted. This often results in the spacial visualizations of my thoughts, feelings and emotions, hidden behind carefully crafted assemblages.
I currently live and work in Freiburg, Germany, keeping closely in touch with my home country, France.
