BIO Eleonora Mangoni was born in Rome in 1991, where she lives and works as an engineer. She graduated in Civil Engineering in 2018 from the Università di Roma Tor Vergata and obtained a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure at the Politecnico di Milano in 2020.
She has consistently cultivated her creativity through drawing, developing a particular interest in painting, with subjects that reflect the influence of her academic background. Her artistic practice is based on a multi-layered approach that brings together photography, 3D modeling and acrylic and oil painting.
WHAT I DO My experience as a construction engineer profoundly influences my artistic work, infusing my paintings with a precision and planning that result in balanced and synthetic compositions. At the same time, the artistic approach offers me a unique opportunity to explore innovative and original solutions in my work as an engineer. My artistic research is directly influenced by digital technology: 3D modelling software, which I use daily in design, allows me to explore shapes and patterns before translating them onto canvas. The use of technology in my creative process not only offers me new expressive possibilities, but also fuels the development of my creativity. Through the interaction between digital and photographic tools, I seek the perspective development of unusual points of view.
