Alessio Londi was born on December 9th in Florence. After attending the Industrial Technical Insitute in Empoli (Chemical specialisation), goes on with his studies in Florence with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Marketing. After the University, he takes a Communication MA.
Even from the adolescence he starts loving art and studying, as self-taught, Picasso’s cubism, with his irregular geometric shapes, and the suggestive and bizarre images of Dalì’s surrealism.
In lack of an art education, his first works are based on spontaneous drawing: sketches and ideas interweave and create stylised men with comic books-like lines. Everyday life tales come alive and take a soul. Alessio describes and presents a pop society that belongs to the world surrounding him but even to a potential future.
In his paintings, figures’ dimensions have an own identity, a constant repetition that creates a visual language, that tells simple or complex emotions thru more and more stylised and two-dimensional characters.
The young Florentine artist describes everyday life moments in pages of notebook, newspaper pieces or simple sheet of paper. The importance of drawing, taking a chance and growing up comes from an uncontrolled need of express himself, using lines that give life to kids, men, women, animals, monsters, televisions, computers, abstract figures, fruit, vegetables, cars.. with a surreal expressive language that inspires to Keith Harding’s world.
In his works, colours let themselves bring from the predominant chiaroscuro effect, that leaves many hidden details, with the strong shades representing key elements of the paintings.

Alessio Londi, classe ’88, nasce il 9 Dicembre
a Firenze. Dopo aver frequentato l’Istituto Tecnico Industriale (indirizzo
Prosegue
uomini, donne, animali, mostri, televisori, computer, figure astratte, frutta,
