Born in 1981 in Cologne, Germany, Anne Lindner moved to Luxembourg at the Age of Five with her Family. She went to the European School of Luxembourg where she graduated in 2000.
In 2007 Anne Lindner graduated with a B.A (Honours) in Fine Art and Design from De Montfort University in Leicester, England. Ever since she has been working as an Independent Artist in various Media and different Material such as Wood, Wax, Shellaque and Ink, Paper, Mod Roc, you name it. Her preferred material mostly consist of natural or organic origins. Anything that could be easily reused or recycled, such as wooden stretchers or cotton fabric, for the paintings for example.
Anne Lindner’s work is contemplating on emotional and social issues by reflecting society itself. Her main interest lie within discovering the underworld of people. Delicately depicting the emotional world of the people around her. The use of different media and material is her creative strength. Things that surround us, everyday material and objects. She likes to trap the viewer in her blunt, sometimes aggressive work, however the work itself is being very fragile and vulnerable at the same time.
The use of contrasts and opposites is a constant recurrence in her visual language. The over-used Word ‘Duality’ pops into mind.
In 2013 she won the 'Prix de Révélation' of the Cercle Artistique du Luxembourg with her Photographic work ‘Behind Closed Doors’. The same Year she got awarded the 'Prix MédiArt' by Mediart, Luxembourg.
In 2017 she was shortlisted for the Blooom Award 2017 in Düsseldorf, Germany. In 2019 and 2020+1 she was selected for the 19th and 20th Art Symposium Gare Art Festival, Luxembourg.
