I took a rather non-standard path to 3D design, initially working instead with a quite ancient art form - Russian icons. After obtaining a higher education in the arts, I worked in graphic design for 10 years. My experience in academic drawing helped me to look at my work from a different angle, prioritizing laconic and meaningful visuals over excessive detail. At first I worked at an advertising agency as a graphic designer, and later opened my own small studio focused on creatives, branding, and website design; even then, I often used 3D elements in my design work. I originally worked with 3D max, but have since shifted toward mastering C4D and Blender. For the past 2 years, I have been closely following the development of augmented reality technology, in which I see strong potential and opportunity for opening new avenues of creativity and experimentation.
