Reisui (born in 1970, Japan) is a contemporary artist based in Japan whose practice is rooted in a Neo-Japanese perspective. Using traditional Japanese materials such as sumi ink and washi paper, she creates works characterized by intricate geometric patterns. Her practice explores the invisible layers of human emotion and consciousness, seeking to visualize subtle movements of the inner self. Through the fusion of Japanese aesthetics and contemporary expression, she continues to pursue new possibilities in contemporary art. She has held solo exhibitions in Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara, and is scheduled to present her first solo exhibition in Tokyo in July 2026.
