As a researcher in art history, but also a painter and designer, I develop a precise and colourful approach to highlighting the marvellous that fascinates the researcher and inspires the poet.
Since 2004, I have been exploring the knowledge and techniques mobilised for artistic creation from Europe to Asia, with a particular interest in medieval Vāstu śāstric knowledge from India. For my work, I favour an operative approach where observation of the technical gesture, but also its experimentation, feeds the reflection just as readings and scientific exchanges do.
Moreover, artistic expression is proving to be a promising communication tool, as it suggests ways of thinking and offers elements of understanding in an acceptable, even playful way - ‘Daring the unknown without fear’, in the words of sociologist Lucius Burckhardt. As part of projects for the general public, I accompany my watercolours, which are sometimes true to life, and sometimes full of mischief, with tender, light-hearted texts that awaken the imagination. I have also been working with glass since 2017, a material that allows me to pursue my explorations of light and water and to bridge the gap between a material and its intangible potential.
