I live with my husband in southern Burgenland (eastern Austria) and have set up an artist's studio there, where I am passionate about my work. I like nature and the people around me, I deal a lot with women's issues, I also like sailing.
As a trained social worker, supervisor and coach, I earned my living for over 20 years as an employee and managing director of the association "Women for Women - Burgenland" and in these roles I fought with commitment for women's rights and women's spaces. Since May 2021 I am working exclusively as an artist.
Since the 90s, I have been learning art in different ways (participation in courses, private lessons) I have acquired basic skills in oil and acrylic painting. This was later followed by small-format, detailed, often coloured drawings with pen or fineliner. Furthermore, a series of oil and acrylic paintings as well as two watercolour series were created.
Since attending a first course for etching and intaglio printing, in August 2010, in Neumarkt an der Raab I have been intensively involved with a wide variety of printmaking techniques. During this time I have been constantly refining my printmaking work, for the last three years under the artistic guidance of Javier Peréz-Gil and Henriette Leinfellner in Vienna.
For some years now I have been experimenting with a wide variety of materials and processes in painting, printmaking and three-dimensional forms of expression such as sculpture, object and installation. I combine analogue work with pencil, paints, sands, wool, etc. or even papier-mâché and metal with digital processes of photo editing and so on. I am a very political person. The nature of my work is mostly oriented towards a mental state and also towards my working environment, people, nature, fine social and political conditions. As an autodidact, I am constantly learning new ways of expression and craft-technical processes for implementation.
