I was born in Santa Fe, a province in the center of Argentina, South America. Then I grew up in the north of Salta, where there is the uniqueness of being close to Bolivia and its great culture.
I graduated in 1992 from the Manuel Belgrano Normal School, with a humanistic and teaching orientation.
My first steps in university were Psychology and Literature; I studied four years at the Catholic University of Salta. Photography appeared as an aesthetic interest and also as a way to gain a certain economic autonomy, while I became familiar with its language.
After several jobs to support my photography studies, I began to practice it in a more professional way.
My initial training in visual arts and contemporary photography was, above all, an informal training, attending workshops with figures from the contemporary scene in Argentina, while working as a Junior Photographer, and then obtaining my first important position as a photojournalist in the press area, in the Government of Salta, where I have worked for 12 years, from 2007 to 2019.
I have developed a singular career as a visual artist and filmmaker. Between 2000 and 2021 I was part of the Visual Arts Exhibition in my province, obtaining First Prize in the installation and new media category in 2020.
In 2010 my work "Ver el aire" was awarded in the "Open Digital TV" program in Argentina, and I have been selected as a scholarship recipient of the National Arts Fund in 2012, 2013, 2018 and 2019.
In 2014 I participated in a sound-visual workshop with Lucrecia Martel, the renowned film director, in the city of Salta, where she was also born.
Since 2019 I became interested in creative writing based on film scripts, and I studied in a screenwriting workshop with Franco Verdoia, also a great Argentine filmmaker.
From 2021 to the present, I have been working on the script for my first feature film, “The Girl from the River”, with the guidance of Celina Murga (Rolex Award Program with Martin Scorsese). This script was selected among many projects through IDEA, a financial support plan for the audiovisual industry of the Government of Salta.
In 2023 I obtained the diploma in Film and Series Direction, from the Association of Independent Film Directors of Argentina.
I work in my studio in Salta, Argentina.
