Daria Dorato is a Polish artist born in Nowy Targ. From an early age, she demonstrated a deep fascination with creative writing, symbolism, and technological innovation. She has long held the conviction that the world is in greater need of visionaries and innovators than of gas stations and corporate structures.
Her artistic development has encompassed a diverse range of disciplines, including acting, ballet, music, and painting — each contributing to the refinement of her aesthetic sensibilities and shaping her unique artistic perspective.
In 2014, following a series of traumatic life events, she survived a suicide attempt that left her bedridden for nearly a year. During this period of convalescence, she engaged in profound self-reflection and returned to painting, using it as a therapeutic practice. This creative resurgence deepened her affinity with the work and legacy of Frida Kahlo, whose life and art became a powerful source of inspiration and identification. Through this process, Dorato rediscovered her voice and reaffirmed her commitment to artistic expression.
Privately, big fan of nachos, plants, cinema, animals, swimming, and sunsets. :)
