Durandarte Project was born from the need of two brothers Lorenzo and Eugenio Micheli Pucci to deepen the relationship between contemporary dance and music for guitar. The repertoire consists of pieces created specifically for the project but also songs based on cultivated music. The use of one or another is decided each time depending on the creative process of the piece itself. The impossibility of an immediate meaning stimulates the urgency of the expression: the sound, caught up by a gesture, becomes body and movement in both a varied interpretative context and unicity. Durandarte performances are settled on the individual artistic identity of the interpreter in a specific time. It brings the evocative power of the mixture sound/gesture to the aesthetic spectator.
