I see painting as a way of listening to the inner world.
The pictorial material, often printed, resists, absorbs and creates thresholds.
The gaps, silences, cut-outs and passages are at the heart of the work.
A visual artist's work connected to memory, sensations, myth and the viewer's space.
I paint thresholds. Suspended moments where a figure, a landscape, a fragment of memory stand there, set back, in a discreet but insistent presence.
I explore matter as one unfolds a memory: in layers, in silences, in resistances. My canvases welcome traces, flashes of light, coloured voids, sensitive architectures — they do not show, they allow things to happen.
Between figuration and erasure, my works seek to inhabit the viewer's inner space. They are part of a contemporary approach, where the sensitive surfaces without revealing itself entirely, where the visible dialogues with absence. ‘Silent Presences’ is the name of this pictorial territory: a place of listening, memory, and silent vibration.I conceive exhibitions as sensory experiences in dialogue with the spaces that host them.
They are an opportunity to explore the connection between space, light, architecture and the memory of a place. I view my works not as static objects, but as elements of a living system, capable of resonating with their context — whether public, intimate, professional or heritage-related.
In some exhibitions, I incorporate discreet or immersive sound installations, composed of recordings, voices, abstract sound textures and texts. This sound work extends painting into another perceptual dimension: it activates inner listening, just as painting activates inner vision. The sounds do not illustrate the paintings, but weave a sensitive counterpoint, an invisible presence.
This approach allows me to offer viewers an enveloping, attentive, poetic experience.
Creating sensitive journeys for the viewer.
