Andrei Chino was born in Kazan in 1989 into a family of architects. Since childhood, he has been fond of drawing and computer graphics. These interests led him first to the world of design, and then to contemporary art, which he took up seriously in 2019.
Lives and works in Moscow.
The artist works with the perception of the human personality in the era of the Internet, social media and virtual reality. In his works, he raises the question of who a person really is outside the framework of social concepts and labels, and how his self-image changes with the development of technology.
Exploring visual perception and facial features, the artist developed his Theory of Found Faces, according to which all objects around us, without exception, are perceived by a person based on the recognition of facial features in them, so the emotions hidden in these objects greatly affect our life and state. The artist uses this phenomenon in all of his art practice.
