A significant milestone in my career was my selection by the United Nations in November 2024 for their Femicide 2023 Report, which was distributed worldwide. This international recognition underscores the commitment of my work, which sheds light on silent stories and invisible wounds through my artistic language.
Graduating in 2006 from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels (ENSAV) de La Cambre, with a specialization in drawing, I have been painting for over 25 years. My work explores the themes of childhood and adolescence, blending various media such as painting, drawing, watercolor, ceramics, and even knitted objects.
Through these mediums, I express the inner emotions experienced by children while ensuring that the viewer has the freedom to interpret my work.
Conveying children's inner emotions in my paintings without making them too explicit, while allowing space for personal interpretation, has become a true passion for me.
My first exhibitions were organized shortly after my graduation, notably by ISELP and the Cultural Center of Charleroi. These opportunities marked the beginning of my artistic recognition. Local media coverage, including a Télé Sambre report, as well as nominations for several artistic awards, helped increase my visibility among cultural institutions.
In 2009, my installation at La Médiatine—a scenography representing a school playground filled with children's portraits—resonated deeply with the audience. This work, immersing viewers in their own childhood memories, illustrates my artistic intention: to raise awareness of the complex emotions tied to this period of life.
In 2017, 2020, and 2021, I exhibited at the Arielle d’Hauterives Gallery, the first gallery in Belgium dedicated to promoting female artists for over a decade.
In 2021, my series "Life in Pink… and Yet…" received praise in an article in Le Soir.
Additionally, my collaborations with Arielle d’Hauterives Gallery, dedicated to the promotion of female artists, helped reinforce my visibility in Brussels.
With over two decades of experience, I continue to use art to reveal, provoke, and spark reflection on childhood and human emotions, while expanding the boundaries of my artistic practice.
