Antonio Castañeda Rodríguez, Peruvian painter and educator, was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil (1988). He began studying at the Faculty of Art at PUCP in 2008. He interrupted his studies to travel to France, where he pursued a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Art Sciences at the Saint Charles Faculty of Paris I – Sorbonne University, graduating in 2012.
From 2012 to 2014, he attended a specialization in painting at the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Turin, Italy. In 2016, he completed a Master’s degree in Artistic Research and Creation at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.
He has participated in group exhibitions in Paris, Turin, Madrid, and Lima. He has also worked as an illustrator and instructor in various workshops, as well as in the André Malraux and Trener schools.
He is currently a part-time art teacher at Trener and works as a painter in his independent studio.
