BIO SHOT
Elena Brandi,
multidisciplinary and eclectic artist. She’s born in Milan with a Decorator
degree at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera and a Master in Drawing at the
Faculty of Fine Arts of Granada, the cosmopolitan city where she absorbs the arabian,
jewish and gipsy cultures. She finds the synthesis between the arts (visual, musical
and body arts) in Flamenco dance.
Her style and technique
are influenced by mythology and the study of unconsciousness through archetypal
symbology, alchemy, shamanism and interpretation of dreams; all of which
converge in “Onirika”, a project that includes the Tarots of AcquaLuce.
On the esthetic plane she condenses echoes and transparency in her Shining
Paintings, capturing light through or inside the surface. In her vibrating and multi dimensional paintings
she reveals the dark side of the painting.
She counts on many painting expositions in Italy and Spain; she’s also
active as illustrator, muralist, performer (Dance of Color, Flamenco) and
instructor of Martial Arts. Her
natural attitude towards multidisciplinary brings her to get interested in
audiovisual arts.
