Natalia Boncioli is an Italian artist whose practice combines contemporary textile processes, painting and material culture. Trained in fashion and specialised in conservation of historical textiles in Switzerland, she is now purchasing her PhD in Germany focusing on costume history and archaeological textiles. Having lived across several European countries, her work explores themes of memory, belonging and displacement. Through the use of textile practices, books and archival materials, she investigates the relationship between identity, transformation and cultural memory, also creating immersive installations that invite viewers to experience space as a place of narration and encounter.
