My art focuses on the positive aspects of cultures with subliminal undertones. Its based upon personal experiences growing up in an art family in old New Orleans. A lifetime including designing parade floats, singing and dancing, bow fishing, cooking on the bayou, traveling, and living life as a true Cajun. My art technique consist of contemporary, representational and impasto oil painting techniques to create a livelier effect of the paint. This controlled layering utilizes sculpting needles, washes, glazes, and dry brushing. These help create a vivid three dimensionality, not apparent by just the superposition of colors or traditional impasto painting.
