Benitez

Lucas Benitez (b. 2004, CT) is an artist based in Savannah, GA. He intertwines body, memory, and landscape to reflect on the layered complexity of identity. Utilizing acrylics, canvas, and flame, his work merges imagined landscapes and abstracted figurative elements. Benitez has been featured in six group shows, including the 2026 Beyond Sight Exhibition at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center. Recent projects include work on an immersive projection-mapped light show at the SCAD Lacoste Film Festival. Benitez is expected to graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2026 with a BFA in painting. He’s currently expanding his materiality through soft sculpture installations.
