My name is Mina Bazari. I was born in 1983 in Iran and raised there. I migrated to Sweden in 2014 and I live and work in Umeå ever since.
I have studied bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing at Azad university of Tehran. I started my professional practice as an artist after I graduated in 2006
I participated in several group exhibitions and had a solo exhibition in Tehran. After I moved to Sweden, I was determined to peruse my professional practice. So while I was studying Swedish, I regularly worked at my studio and had two solo exhibition at Lilla gallery (oss gallery) and Lindberg gallery in 2015 and some group exhibition in Sweden and Brussels.
My work is about consumerism and human's relationship to their surrounding environment. My new environment even made me more conscious of the natural environment and its sustainability. The idea began when I realized that we hold position of a lot of objects that not only we don't use, but also we don't remember.
