After several incursions in dance (Maurice Béjart), fine arts (Brussels Académie des beaux-arts), the artist became passionate about Opera.
She created, staged and directed operas, concerts and ceremonies at the Strasbourg Opera, Angers Musical Theatre, Colmar Municipal Theatre, Sinne Theatre in Mulhouse, the Metz Arsenal, the Cité de la Musique, Opéra Comique, Lille Opera, at the Carrousel and the Louvre Auditorium, the Cirque d’Hiver, the Théâtre de l’Odéon, Georges Pompidou Centre, in the Olympia, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Théâtre de la Ville. She was the winner of the Crédit National Enterprise Foundation for her direction of Operas and winner of the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart
In 2003, she created an artist’s collective dedicated to transmitting art to young people in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This meant that more than 7000 youths had the opportunity to make music, dance, theatre and visit exhibitions and shows. Numerous artists participated in this adventure (Rhoda Scott, Marcus Miller, Manu Dibango, Nicolas le Riche, Yoshi Oïda, Firmine Richard, SanSeverino, Nicole Slack Jones, Clairemarie Osta, Kaori Ito, etc.)
After thirty years consecrated to music and opera, the need to paint came back once again, corresponding to a return to the origins. As a director, pictorial inspiration was the driving force.
After her scenic and musical experiences, this time was essential for finding her own language.
Her painting is not looking to represent the world but it reflects the sensations and emotions of the soul.
The landscapes are abstract, associated with a feeling of liberty and endless expansion where beings reveal themselves in suspension.
Today the artist paints in the same way as when she was directing operas: each character has their own colour and space defining the limits and the frontiers within a moving structure that connects to other characters and other spaces. A system of communication is thereby created, with a perpetual exploration of a differentiated pigment for each piece.
The music is always present; each painting has its own musical piece which is necessary, it then becomes obsessive and often influences the work.
