Anna Sittner (b. 1982, Siberia) is a contemporary artist based in Cannes, France. Born into a Volga German family and raised in Germany, her multicultural background has informed a practice shaped by themes of transformation, perception, and the relationship between people and their environments.
Since 2020, she has worked exclusively with resin, developing original techniques that transform the material into sculptural, three-dimensional compositions situated between painting and sculpture. Through extensive experimentation, she has refined methods for controlling transparency, depth, and color separation, creating works distinguished by their layered visual complexity and luminous surfaces.
Drawing on symbolism, natural forms, and the interplay of light and matter, her work explores the boundaries between the visible and the invisible. Through resin’s unique material properties, she creates immersive visual experiences that invite contemplation and multiple interpretations.
Anna Sittner lives and works on the French Riviera, where she continues to expand her practice through research, experimentation, and the development of new bodies of work.
