Read MoreMT. Andres is a Spanish-born Fine Artist with an UK art degree, now based in Muenster, Germany. She has exhibited her work in Germany, Holland, Tunisia and the UK. In 2016 she became a member of the artist association pART 96 and since 2019 she is a member of the collective of female artists Kuenstlerinnen Forum Muensterland.
The source of her photographic material and inspiration are her travels and personal experiences, beside others the experience of moving between different countries and trying to find her place in them. Nature and animals fascinate her. She loves to travel and to spend time hiking, climbing, discovering new places and capturing moments with her camera.
Her focus is landscape/cityscape photography as well as mixed media works based on it. In her work, she leaves plenty of room for the involuntary and reflects natural phenomena, textures and structures of our environment. Moods are partly changed by water as a natural filter or as a reflective surface. Some works are inspired by real textures. These works express her search for the picturesque in photography. Other works show new utopian places that arise from the creative combination of different often contrasting places, supported by various design techniques, e.g., digital collages finished with watercolors and other materials such as resin and thread.
