Grazia Amendola (Salerno 1984) moved to Rome in 2004 and graduated in Decoration and Set design at the Fine Arts Academy of Rome in 2010. In 2008 she obtained a degree as “Illustrator” at the International School of Comics. In 2012 she moved to Turin where she currently lives and works as an art teacher in schools, planning educational laboratories for children. She also worked with disabled and young adults in immigrants shelters. She worked with several theatre companies as a set designer and manufacturer and since 2013 she has worked in Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto (Biella), setting up exhibitions and organizing events. Her artistic research focuses on processes of material transformation as expressions of time, consumption, and loss. Through experimental practices and a sometimes anthropological approach, her work investigates what remains: residues, traces, and stratifications.
Her projects often develop in relation to specific contexts, giving rise to works and installations that engage in dialogue with environmental, social, and material themes.
