I was born in 1958 in Viljandi, Estonia, and grew up in Pärnu. I graduated from Design (1979–1985) at the then State Art Institute of the Estonian SSR (nowadays, the Estonian Academy of Arts). After completing my studies, I moved to Tartu, and became a teacher at Tartu Art School, during which time, I would also make my large-scale ink paintings. In 1991, I became firstly a freelance designer, then worked in companies as a designer as well as a photographer. In 2010, I returned to being a freelancer in this field.
Since the beginning of this year, I have started publishing my digital graphic art, which I have also submitted to this competition.
