The group sculpture "You See, There is Light" continues artist Wang Jiacheng's six years of faceless figure sculpture "me me". The image of this series of figures uses the shape of Shouting figures, aiming to explore the emotional expression of individuals in the group, and allow everyone to speak out, express the real feelings of the heart. Its face without features is more like an "X." This little man could be you, me, or everyone in life.
"It was dusk that evening. The glass in front of me reflected the city behind me. The world was dark and the city was bright. I thought to myself that the city was so powerful that it could move forward against the sky. But then I realized that the terrace I was on wasn't Neverland or Utopia. I was in the city."
Believe in the light, believe in the near distance. "See, There Is Light" depicts the fire of power that burns in the heart of man, and the lights of cities that flicker between day and night. The light is the star, but also the hope and hope in despair.
