Honoring Jay Wright Forrester, July 14th, 1918 - 2016, an American electrical engineer and management expert. In 1944-51, he supervised the building of the Whirlwind computer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for which he invented the random-access magnetic core memory, the information-storage device employed in most digital computers. He also studied the application of computers to management problems, developing methods for computer simulation.
