PoeSpin — Wherever Your Body Reaches, There Is a Poetry
PoeSpin is a vertical-format interactive video installation that transforms pole dance movements into AI-generated poetry. Inspired by the Chinese poetic form “Lianhuanshi” (连环诗) and vector-based writing, it redefines dance as both semantic and symbolic expression. The system captures the body’s trajectory, translates motion into text, and replays it with immersive CGI visuals.
Developed with motion capture, NLP models, and real-time rendering tools, PoeSpin explores the poetic agency of the body in the age of artificial co-authorship.
This is also the 1st ‘dance to poetry’ art project to interpret pole dance through computational linguistic perspective.
