Pixel Mirgrtions is a series of digitally manipulated photographs. Using a custom algorithm I allow the pixels of an already existing photograph drift across the page. As the pixels spread they follow flows derived from an analysis of the original photograph. The final image is a rem-mixing of the pixels in the original image. They have been freed, so to speak, from the confines of the original arrangement. They follow flows creating an image that is a balance between digital and organic abstraction.
The High Resolution (65mb) images are then printed on Hannemühle Butten paper in an archival ink jet process.
