This piece is a tribute to my country, Ukraine — a land now scarred by war, yet still full of hope. I created this work during a time when our skies are often grey with grief, and our hearts carry the weight of loss. So many lives have been taken, and so much beauty has been stolen by violence.
But this image speaks of something more. It’s a vision of resilience. The figure stands bathed in sunlight, dressed in patterns inspired by Ukrainian folk art and surrounded by nature. Her pose reaches for the light — a gesture of defiance and belief.
