In the initiatic traditions informing this work, love is the fundamental principle of life, and those who truly love grant freedom. Free will is what allows genuine love to exist. Freedom is not acquired; it is recognized.
That recognition is inseparable from individuation, the reconciliation of ego and Self described in Jungian psychology and older hermetic sources. Attachment is the measure of its absence: whoever fears death, or clings to possessions and to people, is not yet free. Only the integrated self loosens that grip. Freedom is not the absence of restriction but alignment with a deeper order.
Flying Without Wings names a freedom needing no external apparatus, resting on inner alignment rather than force. The one who reaches it rises highest, not through power but through understanding.
