This work, 〈Dinner〉, is part of an illustration series that explores the concepts and pressures women encounter in society. The figure depicts a woman suffering from anorexia, who consumes shards of a mirror instead of food. This act symbolizes the social obsession with beauty standards imposed on women, while also reflecting the irony of “feeding” on her own emaciated image as if it were nourishment. Through this, the work conveys the distorted self-perception and psychological suffering generated by such ideals.
