LU-MA
Black and white piece in H.264/MP4 (4k) format, assembled with
own archive images and free web access of the former union
Soviet. Its theme is the consumption of drugs, and it takes
per main element a weekly dispenser / organizer
of medication also known as a “pill box”.
The textual is limited to the English language – in reference to the external
and imported-, and to the abbreviations -referring to the days of the week-.
The narrative of images and their sounds responds to two groups in tension:
elements of serial production, and natural elements.
The first are shown in the form of a logical sequence with movement
ribbon and with an arrangement of cells, while the natural ones
appear in a fragmentary and suspended way, through a movement
impulse or tremor but without displacement.
Both the black and white color and the technological type material
shown are less contrasting than disruptive, references
to the non-modern, pointing to a technology that does not stop advancing
to become obsolete the next day. The final edition seeks
Do not fall into the personalization of the message but rather a reflection
possible about a drug-dependent culture
which doesn't even explain what to do with your own waste.
