‘Flexible Latitudes’ (2025) is an experimental, surrealistic short film. The nexus between the sensation of touch and pain is emphasised through haptic associations and tangible phenomena as ‘states of being’. The protagonist is involuntarily confronted with the question on human existence. Superimposed elements and cross-fading visuals, accompanied by ‘ASMR’ sounds and perspectives of locomotion, evince scenes of conceptual and emotional expression. How does her perception alter through the anticipation of time, space and body? The interplay of performative movements and non-verbal expressions spur on the sensual artefacts of perception, which manifest themselves in fragments of text, sounds and distinct motions. The elements blend in the open and closed spatial arrangements, contributing to the staging as a peregrination into the unconscious by encountering one’s own identity.
