A wooden skeletal sculpture in the city park in Portogruaro encloses a tree
that stands at the crosssection of two walkways. The tree is
located near the Vegal building.
The sculpture resembles a vase from which the
old maple tree grows. It represents an interaction between living being and rigid skeletal construction, between nature and
man. The intervention points out anonimous tree and make it noticable and special.
The structure is made of 100 pcs of hazelnut tree poles, conected with metal joints. Poles are
painted grey, matching the nearby facade. The
base is made of old, reused bricks. The
structure has no foundation and is anchored
only at specific points, similar to a tent.
