As a Palestinian who was never allowed back in his ancestral land, there is a metaphysical layer that is present personally in the connection to that land. Using trees deeply rooted in Palestinian identity olive, fig, and oranges I transform wood into kitchenware that bridges land and memory. These trees, long symbols of cultural continuity, are turned into objects of daily ritual. Each piece becomes a quiet act of resistance and preservation, offering Palestinians a metaphysical refuge and others a space for reflection. The work speaks to exile, belonging, and the ability of craft to hold ancestral stories.
