I melt the glass in a computer-controlled ceramic furnace without windows. When I buy glass from a specialist retailer, I find out what data has to be stored during the melting process. But since I almost exclusively use waste glass whose data I do not know, I have to approach the necessary settings with trial firings and experience. Coincidence and surprises play a particularly important role here. Each work is absolutely unique.
