The union of two or more arts is the cornerstone of my works. As a protagonist there is music, a temporal art, combined with sculpture, which is a figurative art. The real challenge was to transform a figurative art such as a sculpture, into a temporal art, so that music and sculpture could merge and amalgamate at their best. "Transformation" is the key word. The entire sculpture rests on a wooden base, within which is a timed electronic circuit that drives a piston (attached behind the nape of the sculpture's neck), and acoustic speakers (placed at the side ends of the wooden base) capable of reproducing a composition written, composed and playable exclusively for this type of work. The moment the circuit is activated, the musical composition starts and the piston rises, giving shape to the sculpture. In this way, the sculpture becomes temporal: this work can be appreciated for a limited time, as when you press play to listen to a song!
