Schopenhauer in the essay ‘Hedgehog’s Dilemma’ says that the closer the two beings get, the more likely they are
hurt each other. This comes from the idea that hedgehogs have spines on their backs, so it will be difficult for them
to get close without hurting themselves. These ‘thorns’ become strips of torn fabric.
The work deals about some phases of a woman that goes from a negative period to a ‘serendipity time for herself..
This woman would like to be consistent with her feelings because of her mental balance destabilized by unrequited
love, but by not doing so, she hides herself in beauty, aesthetics and art. The frayed represents her experience, her
wounds, her masochism. Her beauty, her balance from the visual point of view prevails so much to mask what she
has within itself. Thanks to the love she rediscovers herself and she reborn again.
