the gaze of the soul

ALBERT EINSTEIN

This painting by Andy Warhol is part of a proget called “ten portrait of jews people of the 20th century”. This old man portraied is Albert Einstein. In this work Einstein is almost entirely covered in a fluorescent yellow nylon fishing line. The coluor of the fishing line is yellow like the racial discrimination, however bright and shine like the stars. The face is partially hidden, only a few features are cleverly left uncovered. Once again the eye that is seen and see, this eye that was able to see things never seen before.
