Symposium of Being presents a silent assembly of porcelain vessels — wheel-thrown, bound, and distorted by ropes and tools, leaving scars and shifting forms. These works rest in a liminal space between fragility and resilience, control and surrender. Binding becomes both restraint and expression. The resulting forms, glazed or bare, bear the imprint of tension and release. This series reflects on the human condition. Amidst constraint and liberation, we continue searching for our own way of being, together.
All the works have individual titles.
This work can be presented in different setups. It can be shown as a large group, a small group, or even as individual pieces — either hung, or placed on a table, stage, or floor.
Videos of the making process are provided, showing the binding and unbinding of some works, allowing the audience to experience the transformation of the pieces.
