This installation evokes the authentic stories of men and women from
around the world.
These stories have crossed the seas to reach us. They are preserved on
a roll of paper preserved in each sculpture.
(four stories from Portugal, French Polynesia, Japan and the North
American Arctic).
I like to imagine that the seas have no boundaries, and that these
individual human adventures are part of our universal popular memory.
This installation is extracted from a research work that I have been
conducting since 2016 and that I seek to convey through my artistic activity.
These sculptures, which I call Beacons, are today in number of 270. They
themselves traveled to settle in different countries and transmit these
stories.
