This work is
about the nature that we give less importance to, that we despise and that we
are closest to. A ruderal species is a plant species that is first to colonize disturbed lands,
either by human action or by natural disasters. This ability to prosper without
any human intervention makes us feel towards it the same feeling that our
ancestors experienced toward a wild and uncontrollable nature. Currently, human
beings are capable of feeling respect and concern for environmental problems
while despising and destroying any hint of life that they find in their closest
habitat. However, a ruderal species is as important as that found in the most
distant ecosystems of our environment. This piece shows a sphere formed by weeds.
It is a piece that emulates the sun to link our existence to less valued
vegetation, to exalt it as the origin of life after destruction.
