RIGHT FIRE is an immersive experiential large format Photo-media exhibition incorporating major large archival print series of works, a 9 piece Alumalux face mounted installation titled 'Walk with Fire' , framed works, a triptych of 3 works and a series of educational archival images sharing the Ancestral journey of walking with 'Good Fire'. This extraordinary body of work acts as a catalyst to invite the public into a world of Indigenous Aboriginal Cultural Fire practices.
How do you offer a space of trust and repair from Climate Catastrophe by asking the audience to walk with you into Fire? Lucille Martin's invitation from young Indigenous Custodian Adrain (Ado) Webster changed a white fear of the dangers of Fire, into a journey of alternatives to save our planet.
The exhibition also has an experiential opening which Lucille Martin and Adrain (Ado) Webster, proud Wandrawandian-Walbunja custodian and Fire Practitioner open the exhibition with and hold a 'Yarning' space where the audience are invited to listen to Indigenous Alternatives to prescribed burns.
