1. Creative Process:
Collected newspapers from 1966 to 1976, spanning 11 years.
The newspapers were cut into small fragments.
The fragments were soaked in water until softened.
A blender was used to break down the soaked newspaper scraps.
The pulped newspaper fibers were then reformed into new paper.
2. Conceptual Framework:
The historical context of the past now seems entirely unfamiliar.
Through the process of deconstructing and reconstructing newspapers,
this work explores the tension between:
Authority vs. Fragility of "discourse,"
Temporality vs. Permanence of narratives.
It reflects on the evolving nature of societal contexts over time.
