Since its inception, "civilization," as we call it, has been at war
with nature. For far too long we have claimed a growth only for
ourselves humans while forcing the organic and non-organic world to grow
with us and the increasing pace of consumption.
It was
humanity that made it its task to control, determine and subdue the life
of nature. Nature, on the other hand, exerts a silent but constant
influence on us from within and on the genetic level.
A peaceful
coexistence with nature is inconceivable as long as we do not simply let
it grow. To let it grow without us taking advantage of it means,
perceiving and acknowledging the natural world.
